Meet 2010 God is Grace Woman Federesi Tumukunde

federesi tumukunde 2a.jpg

Federesi was sponsored in 2010 in God Is Grace.  She is lives in Wanyange village.

When she got her sponsorship money, she was selling second hand clothes but had stopped because she became sick.  She opted to do another business from her home and started selling charcoal but this too stopped because her home was not suitable for a shop since it was not on a main road.

Federesi then bought a sewing machine and she started sewing with the little knowledge she had. Sewing is now her current main business. She buys fabric and makes skirts, dresses and she sells them in the Jinja market.

She has managed to educate two of her children who are both in vocational schools now. One son is studying to become a Mechanical Engineering and her older daughter is soon to finish a course in hair dressing. She still has a child who is in lower classes and she hopes she educate her through senior four.

Federesi is also learning hair dressing. She wants to open a store to start selling charcoal again, alongside of sewing and hair dressing.

She is grateful to her sponsor who gave her opportunity! She has maintained her home by feeding and educating her children for nine years! And she added that she is also looking better since becoming an independent business woman!

I know that when I give to those ladies, I am investing in eternity for they will see the love of Christ reaching down to them when they desperately need help.

Our Mission

" The way Jesus did ministry is our model – caring for the forgotten, training those who are despaired, and sharing the Gospel so that people can be introduced into God’s Kingdom."

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." -Matthew 5:1-6
