2026 Sponsorship is OPEN!

Sponsorship begins April 1 of every year and ends March 31 of the preceding year.    After April 1, a Sponsorship Class is formed. It is based on the number of women we can sponsor for that year by our closing date for sign-up of sponsorship.  New sponsorships are not accepted after March 31 or after we have met our desired quota for a class for that year.  Those interested in the next year may contact us at godisgraceafrica@aol.com to be put on a list for sign-up for sponsorship for the next year’s class.

How do I become a God is Grace Sponsor?

Support of one woman is $840 annually. All support can be paid in a variety of ways - Annually, monthly, weekly, etc., and sponsorships can be shared with other donors. We also offer a recurring payment system through an online option.

What Happens After I Commit to Sponsorship?

Once you commit to sponsoring a woman, you will be sent a God Is Grace Africa d/b/a God Is Grace Women's Ministry application. This application contains a photo and information on the woman selected for you.  Periodically, you will receive updates about the woman you support and her progress in training. 

It is our goal to visit each woman sponsored by God Is Grace Africa d/b/a God Is Grace Women's Ministry when we go to Uganda every year.  Most of our women will be visited during this time, but for those we are unable to visit, our Ugandan staff will visit for the sponsors, take photos, and supply a report.  All sponsors will receive a report following the visits by the team, along with photos.  Our staff in Uganda continues to follow up with each woman sponsored, visiting with her and guiding her in business throughout the year.

 FAQs

    • It costs $70.00 a month for one year, totaling $840 for a complete sponsorship. 

    • All support goes through Kelly Green Global (a 5013c tax exempt organization) and is tax deductible.       

    • By the end of January of the next year, a statement for the previous year’s donations will be sent to each sponsor of God Is Grace. 

    • The break down monthly is as follows:    

    • $40 goes to the woman being sponsored

    • $21 goes towards overhead costs in Uganda:  Ugandan staff salaries, training teacher salaries, rent for training centers, gasoline to visit women, electricity for center, repairs on center when needed, internet

    • $6 goes to an escrow account in case a sponsor is unable to fulfill their commitment to due to loss or job or financial struggles.  If this is unused, then we will send it for other needs in Uganda.

    • $3 goes to social media and administrative assistance 

      4.28% stays within the USA only ($3) of the $70 given monthly.  All the rest goes eventually to Uganda over the year.   No personnel in the U.S. receives a salary from God Is Grace.

    • How can I pay my support?  You can pay once a year ($840), biannual ($420), quarterly ($210) or monthly ($70.00). If you desire to help, but are unable to commit to sponsorship because of your economic situation, we encourage you to find a friend or a few to divide it up and support a lady together monthly.

    • Once you commit to sponsoring a woman, you will be sent a photo and information about the woman you are sponsoring. This will tell you about the village she lives in, the number of children/orphans she is supporting, and briefly what trades she would like to pursue. Periodically, you will get updates about the woman you sponsor and how she is advancing.      

    • We try every year to go visit each woman that is sponsored in God is Grace Africa dba God Is Grace Women's Ministry. When we are able, we will send each sponsor photos taken, and additional information gathered while the God is Grace Africa women are visited. Each woman is very dear and special to us. We enjoy talking to each woman, meeting their children and sharing in their lives. Our personal "hands on" touch comes from the women who help make God is Grace Africa dba God Is Grace Women's Ministry possible in Uganda. (Ugandan Coordinators: Alice Mutaasa - in Jinja and Patricia Otte in Tororo) These women work with pastors in the areas where we minister to help select each woman for God is Grace Africa dba God Is Grace Women's Ministry. This way, we are able to find the neediest of the women in villages. The only requirement we ask of our leaders is that they find the poorest in the villages and that these women that they have chosen are willing to work hard. Once a woman completes her year of sponsorship, we are sometimes able to continue contact with her and watch her, by way of her pastor, to continue on with her businesses long after she has been sponsored.
