A brief look at hunger in Uganda during this pandemic.

Choices for food are limited because of the inability to work (due to lack of opportunity, especially with Covid-19), pestilence and a travel lock down instituted because of the pandemic.

Many in Uganda are having to be creative with food. In scores of homes, mothers are boiling water and adding maize flour to make porridge as the only sustenance their children will receive. Because of the limited amount of flour, diluting the porridge will be the only way to serve more in her home. Many people are down to one meal a day. One mother shared in an article recently published by Cornell Alliance for Science, "We are going to die of hunger before this virus even kills us."

God Is Grace Africa is taking these concerns seriously. We are listening to our local pastors in Tororo and Uganda as they face great trials. Imagine serving in a community that is already extremely vulnerable, but now all the more in the midst of a pandemic! We are thankful that because of donors like you, we will soon be able to distribute more food through the pastors we work with to their communities.

THE NEED CONTINUES! Please, consider giving to God is Grace Africa to feed more people in these vulnerable communities. 100% of all gifts given for this need are used for food distribution.
